Elysia and Domenic have had a long engagement, we meet them a year ago in the planning stages and are very excited that their big day is only a month away now!
It was lovely to catch up with them and spend some time with them at Chinaman's Beach, Mosman for their pre wedding photography session. They are so happy and relaxed in each others company it's very easy to photograph them, and Domenic's cheeky grin is very infectious.
Can't wait for your wedding day guys x

With the weather we've been having in Sydney lately I'm surprised we've been able to capture many outdoor portrait sessions. Steph & Garth's engagement portrait session was postponed from its first weekend as it was just too wet. So we booked again for last Saturday afternoon, our original plan was to capture the portraits in the late afternoon light, but looking at the forecast that morning we brought it forward. I'm so glad we did as we managed to photograph these lovely portraits just before the next storm arrived, literally I was half way home in the car when the most torrential downpour came!
So we met at Angel Place in the centre of Sydney, right next to Martin Place, it has an art installation called "Forgotten Songs" with bird cages suspended above the lane way, there is audio accompaniment of bird calls from the birds which were found in this area because European Settlement pushed them out. It's such a lovely tranquil place, and so photogenic I'm really pleased Steph & Garth chose this location. After some time here we went to another city sanctuary the Royal Botanic Gardens which never disappoints with its beautiful green lushness.....

Justin felt like one of the family capturing Mike & Amy's engagement party, he's captured a number of significant occasions for this family over the last 18 months and is always overwelmed by how welcoming and friendly they are. Which explains why their parties are always lots of fun, Mike & Amy's engagement party was no exception, as you can see they party was beautifully presented, all the guests enjoyed getting dressed up and had a great night.

Jane & Robert are married! And what fun the long awaited event was. You might remember then from their pre wedding portraits we captured a few months ago.
These guys met with us a long time ago, planning ahead for their wedding day, so long ago in fact I wasn't even pregnant with our little one so we didn't know we'd have a 4 week old baby to manage on their wedding day. Luckily our good friend Karen from KG Photography stepped in to second shoot with Justin on the day, and they had a great time as you can see from the photos.
They met Jane and her bridesmaids and mother in their hotel room getting ready to capture the details of their preparation. Then the boys were in the bar having a quick drink, before the ceremony in the ballroom at Sir Stamford Circular Quay. After the ceremony they took the bridal party for a photo shoot in the grand old sandstone buildings along Macquarie St, and across the road to the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney. Then joined the party back at the hotel with all the guests.

Many couples request a pre wedding photography session with their chosen Sydney Wedding Photographer to give them a chance to get comfortable working with the photographer before the wedding, and also to get used to being in front of the camera. It's a great idea and we highly recommend it to the Sydney wedding couples who book with us.
Jane & Robert arranged this pre wedding portrait photography session with us just a couple of months before their wedding day, and as you can see from the photos they had lots of fun! The pre wedding photography session was taken at Blues Point Reserve overlooking Sydney Harbour in the late afternoon winter sun, a beautiful time of day. The location was chosen as their wedding photography will take place around Circular Quay so they wanted a different view. Sydney in July can be spectacular and the light is lovely, however it was a very chilly afternoon.... not that you can tell from the warmth coming from these guys.
The wedding itself is going to be a wonderful day, one we are looking forward to capturing.
