Kristen & Martin really do have a story to tell, an Aussie girl and Polish guy who met in New York! They've spent many years travelling across the world to see each other, occassionally living in the same country and finally decided to settle down in Sydney and get married. But that wasn't all smooth sailing either, when we first met with Kristen to discuss their wedding plan Martin didn't have a visa to enter Australia yet.... so we tentatively booked the date in the hope that this would all get sorted before the wedding.... and as you can see it did! The day was absolutely stunning and truely beautiful Sydney summer's late afternoon wedding, with wonderful light and lots of fun.
We met Martin at Long Reef Golf Club with his best man who had flown out from Poland for the wedding. Martin is a real character and the hardest part of our job was to get him to keep a straight face, he is forever making funny faces and wanting to jump around! Kristen arrived with her sister and father in as old Buick, and where the ceremony was to be held on the lawns at Long Reef Golf Club all the guests to could see her arrival and walk straight down the aisle. The ceremony was very them conducted by Mary Hall marriage celebrant.
After the ceremony all the guests moved on to the beach for drinks and nibbles... and Martin insisted on some jumping shots! Then we had some time with just the bridal party on Long Reef Golf Course and Beach, in the most beautiful afternoon sunlight... and what a stunning couple too.
Being Polish Martin brought some of his traditions to the wedding, and on arrival at the reception the couple ate salted bread to give them prosperity, and then drank shots. Now the tradition with the shots is that there is one of vodka and the other of water (but they don't know which one), so whoever chooses the vodka is said to be the boss of the marriage..... they both swore they had vodka in their shots!
